Crispy Chilli Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 Head of broccoli
  • 1 red Chilli sliced
  • 2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Ginger paste
  • 4 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • 2 tbsp Sweet chilli sauce
To garnish:
  • 2 Spring onions sliced
  • 1 Red chilli sliced

Instructions

  • Cut the broccoli into florets, then drop them into boiling water for a few minutes until tender. Drain them and set aside for now.
  • Cut the chicken breasts into strips then pop it into a bowl and toss in the cornflour until it’s completely coated.
  • Pan fry the chicken over a medium to high heat for about 6-8 minutes until it’s golden and crispy all over.
  • Add the chilli, garlic and ginger and stir fry it for a minute before adding in the broccoli. Stir fry for another minute.
  • Now add in the soy sauce, honey, lime juice and sweet chilli sauce. Cook until it starts to thicken.
  • Dish it up with basmati rice and finish it with sliced spring onions and chilli.

    I made this after watching the video on instagram. My mouth watered just watching. This was simple to make and was absolutely delicious! I have added it to my meal lists. Next time I’ll make on a weekend and enjoy a nice glass of wine with it!

    Made this for tonight’s dinner and it was absolutely delicious.
    Took a few minutes prep and less than 20 mins to cook.
    As we aren’t big on rice, I served it with fresh noodles and it worked perfectly.
    Definitely going to be one of my go to recipes and one I’m more than happy to share
