Beef in Oyster Sauce
Delicious beef and vegetable stir fry in a tasty oyster sauce. A perfect ‘fakeaway’ dinner.

Ingredients
- 300 g Sirloin steak
- 1 tbsp Cornflour
- 4 Cloves of garlic chopped
- 5 g Ginger chopped
- 1 Small onion sliced
- 225 g Pak choi sliced
- 3 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Soft brown sugar
Instructions
- Trim the fat off the steak, then slice it thinly. Pop it into a mixing bowl and add the cornflour, then stir to coat it.
- Heat some oil in a large frying pan or a wok over a high heat. Stir fry the beef until it’s browned all over.
- Chuck in the garlic, ginger, and sliced onion and stir fry for 30 seconds.
- Add in the pak choi and cook for another minute before pouring in the oyster sauce, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, soft brown sugar and a splash of water.
- Bring it to the boil and cook until it’s sticky and glossy.
- Serve with rice and enjoy.

I would probably give the onion an extra minute or two cooking next time.
This was incredible!!!! I added some extra chopped fresh chilli and some carrot and red pepper matchsticks for bulk and it was the best fakeaway ever!
