Ingredients

  • 450 g Maltesers
  • 70 g Butter
  • 500 ml Double cream
  • 200 g Dark chocolate 70%, chopped
  • 200 g Milk chocolate chopped
For the topping:
  • 300 ml Double cream
  • Easter themed chocolates

Instructions

  • Blitz the Maltesers to a fine crumb. You can use a blender or pop them into a sandwich bag and bash with a rolling pin. Once blitzed tip them into a mixing bowl.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat. Pour the butter into the Maltesers and mix well.
  • Spoon the mixture into an 18cm springform tin, press it down into the base and up the sides. Put it in the fridge whilst you get the filling ready.
  • Pour the cream into a saucepan and bring to the boil, cook for a minute whilst continuously stirring. Take it off the heat then add in the two chocolates and beat it until its smooth and glossy. Leave it to cool down for ten minutes.
  • Pour the chocolate into the pie base and then pop it into the fridge for 3-4 hours, or until it’s set.
  • Once it’s set, whip the double cream to stiff peaks, then spoon it over the pie. Decorate with lots of your favourite Easter themed chocolates then enjoy!!
