Feta Saganaki

Inspired by my recent travels to Greece, this is simple fried feta is absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 x 150g Feta Cheese
  • 80 g Plain flour
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 100 g Sesame seeds
To serve:
  • 80 ml Honey
  • 1 tsp Oregano

Instructions

  • Lay out three separate bowls, one of flour, one of the beaten eggs and the last one of sesame seeds.
  • Coat the feta cheese in flour, followed by egg and then into the sesame seeds.
  • Heat a good amount of cooking oil in a frying pan. Over a medium heat pan fry the sesame crusted feta until it’s golden and crisp all over. It should take 2-3 minutes on each side. Be careful not to burn it.
  • Place it onto kitchen paper to soak up any excess oil, then plate it up. Drizzle over plenty of honey and sprinkle over some oregano.
