Ingredients
For the meatballs:
- 400 g Minced pork
- 2 Garlic cloves chopped
- 15 g Ginger grated
- ½ Red onion finely diced
- 4 Spring onions sliced thinly
For the sticky glaze:
- 3 Cloves of garlic chopped
- 15 g Ginger chopped
- 1 Red chilli finely chopped
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Honey
To serve: (optional)
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 2 Spring onions sliced
- 1 Red chilli sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- In a large mixing bowl, add all the meatball ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Roll the mix into 10 equal sized meatballs.
- In a large frying pan, heat some cooking oil over a medium to high heat and cook the meatballs until browned all over.
- Transfer the meatballs to an oven proof dish and pop them into the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce. Use the same pan to fry the garlic, ginger, and chilli over a medium heat for about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the soy sauce, mirin, and honey and stir well. Cook until it turns sticky.
- Get the meatballs back into the pan, along with any juices, and coat in the sticky glaze.
- Serve with rice, then sprinkle over sesame seeds, spring onions and sliced chilli. Enjoy.
