Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 140 g Butter
- 120 g Soft brown sugar
- 60 g Granulated sugar
- 1 Egg
- 280 g Plain flour
- 60 g Cocoa powder
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
- 200 g White chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170C (fan).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat.
- In a large mixing bowl add the soft brown sugar and granulated sugar. Pour in the melted butter and whisk until it’s well combined.
- Add the egg and beat it in, then add the plain flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda, and baking powder and fold it through.
- Chuck in the chocolate chips and mix them through.
- Use your hands to roll the dough into balls, then flatten them slightly into rough cookie shapes.
- Place them onto lined baking trays, spaced apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake them for 13-15 minutes, then take them out and allow to cool slightly before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely. Enjoy!

I made these cookies with my grandchildren it was very easy to follow the recipe, not too sticky to roll (a bonus) and the end result was delicious.
