Cut the sirloin into thin strips. Place in a bowl and then add the corn flour and Chinese five spice. Mix to completely coat the beef.
Heat a good amount of cooking oil in a frying pan or a wok, add the beef and fry over a high heat until it’s really crispy.
Take out the beef and place it onto kitchen paper to soak up any excess oil.
In a clean pan, stir fry the red pepper, sliced chilli, spring onions, beansprouts, garlic and ginger for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the sauce ingredients and bring it to the boil, cook for 2 minutes until it looks sticky.
Add the beef back into the pan and coat in the sticky sauce.
Serve the crispy chilli beef with rice or noodles and finish by sprinkling over some sliced spring onions and chilli.
