Preheat the oven to 170C. Grease and line a 2lb loaf tin.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat. Once it’s melted set it aside and leave to cool.
Peel the bananas, pop them into a mixing bowl and mash with a fork.
Stir in the cooled butter then add in the sugar and eggs.
Sift in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon, fold it until combined.
Pour in the milk and mix it well.
Add the chocolate chips in, you can coat them in a tbsp of plain flour to prevent them from sinking.
Spoon the batter into the lined baking tin then bake it for an hour, or until a skewer comes out clean.
Leave it to cool in the tin for 15 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Once it’s cool, cut it into portions and enjoy.
